The Downfall of Yik Yak Threat made on Yik Yak
"Like any other social networking site or application, a growth in the number of users generally correlates with a rise in "trolls" — individuals who post deliberately provocative messages in order to incite disruption and arguments. This theory has proved to be true for Yik Yak, and while it is somewhat easy to police, it is also very difficult to identify the specific troll and make them responsible for their comments." I agree with this article because Yik Yak has gotten out of control in the last few months. Everyone that I am antiquated with has a "Yak". One associate 'got put on the "Yak"' for sleeping with another associate's boyfriend. Yik Yak has its place but it should not be used to expose the personal life of people. There has been threats made on Yik Yak to campuses across the nation. They thought because the cite is anonymous, the police will not find out nor catch them, but in this case the person that made the threat was coughs and charged. A few days later another threat was made on a different campus. I wonder if the two were connected. The perpetrator this time was caught but not arrested. On the campus of University of Central Arkansas located in Conway, a threat was made on the campus. The article did not state what king of threat it was but a threat is a threat. I feel as if Social Media is a weapon that needs to be destroyed. too many people are killing themselves over something they saw on Social Media. All we can do as Americans and as parents, is pray the situation does not get worse in the next few years. The parents need to keep tabs on their children from the time they are born till they are 18.

Introduction
First of all welcome to my Blog.
My name is Ruth Black. I am a 22 year-old junior at Henderson State University
from Lansing, Arkansas. I want to become
a Teacher because my mother is a teacher and I would love to change a child’s
life. I love to cook, clean, if I’m in a dirty place, and meditate. I am good at keeping babies. My parents
are still living. My mother just opened an early childhood learning facility.
My father is a retired Highway police and a pastor of a church (hence the name
"Twice Baked" PK: preachers kid and police kid). They had 10 children
together but unfortunately there are only 6 of us now. Let's start from the
oldest and work our way to the youngest. My oldest brother has his own company.
He has 2 children and a fiancé. The second child is my sister; she is happily
married with two children and also has her own business. The third one is
single but she is still young. She is a counselor at a college. The fourth is
married with no children. He has his master’s degree. The fifth is single. He
too is young and still has time for the right person to be revealed. Lastly,
you guessed it, there is me, still in college. I'll graduate eventually. As of
right now I am unsure as to what I would like to do with my life. All of my
life the decisions have been made for me by my parents and siblings. Now that I
am in the real world, where I am forced to make my own choices, it is very hard
adjusting. People say “I guess it true what they say about PK’s” and I respond “what?”
and they reply “PK’s are the worst”. In my opinion, it is the mindset of the PK’s
that is the worst and deadly, I have contemplated suicide and acted on it. However, I am in the process of healing from
it and becoming a better person. They may say that us “PK’s” are some of the
worse kids’ but we just like everyone else are normal and struggle with the
everyday aspects of finding ourselves and I Ruth Black am finding myself!
