 Wordle Logo
This is an easy-to-use way of getting your words to take a particular shape. The cool thing about this tool is you can copy and paste or simply save it to your desktop. The more words you use the better the image will look.

This can be used in my future Geography class by having the kids find 50 facts about a continent and have them create a wordle in the color scheme of its flag. This will help the students learn about geography and technology.

     Khan Academy-https://www.khanacademy.org/
This is a fun and interactive site that students will not get tired of. This Web 2.0 is focused on the student’s learning through various ways including games, lessons, and videos. The site is very organized in the subjects but simplistic in the design of the webpage.

Khan Academy can be used in my classroom to reinforce what’s been taught that day. It will also be used to grasp and hold attention, through colorful games,  of students that may struggle with staying focused.

MIT OpenCourseWare: Highlights for High School, Massachusetts Institute of Technology
“This course was offered through the High School Studies Program (HSSP), a project of the MIT Educational Studies Program. HSSP offers non-credit enrichment courses to 7th-12th grade students on weekends at MIT” according to ocw.mit.edu. This website is great for learning because you have some of the smartest people in the US teaching the students! Also, the students will hopefully obtain a need to do better in life to accomplish their goals and be the best they can be.

MIT Open courseware can be used during the summer to “warn” students of what the course during the school-year will be like. Also, the students can go to the website for help with something. It will be a resource to the class.

   edX Home
This form of Web 2.0 is a collaboration of colleges than came together to offer high school students to earn AP credits online. This website offers AP course options in a variety of subjects. Not only does it teach the student about the subject it also test them on it too!

This may be used in a class by way of offering it as a resource or as something the students may want to do and complete. Or this may be used over the summer for the “over achievers” and they can help guide the class with learning the material.

This Web 2.0 is set up a lot like Facebook and Google Sites had a baby. It has groups that students you can put the students in and a library for research. Students can even post in edmodo, not just words but pictures too!

Edmodo is the future of the classroom! I will use edmodo as a secondary source to post homework to eliminate most excuses for the child not having his/her homework. Edmodo will be used to sharpen online skills in which I will use to collect homework.

Dropbox is a tool used for submitting work. It keeps is all safe so you can access it from anywhere on any device. It works on the student’s college readiness by submitting work on-time.

Dropbox will be used to give students an option of not having to carry a jump drive around with all important documents/assignments. Dropbox will diversify the students.

YouTube is a well know website but not many people knew it was considered a Web 2.0. YouTube is a great resource for students to learn about the lesson and to upload their presentations if they are too shy to do it in class. The students will also be able to learn things though other videos.

YouTube will be used to allow the students limitlessness ways to be creative. YouTube will also be used as an alternative teaching tool to reinforce what they have been taught, possibly in a much simpler way.

  Mind Map Art- http://www.mindmapart.com/
Mind map art is a brainstorming tool that turns your mind maps into art. With this Web 2.0 my students will not get tired of thinking of things to fill this map. The colors are so bright and vivid.

This is a way to keep my students interested in mind mapping. With doing mind mapping in my classroom I hope the paper I assign will be of the necessary length and hold the readers interest.
